Corporate Communications Manager Department Description

The Corporate Relations team are responsible for managing all of Channel 4’s relationships with the Government, Parliament, regulators and other stakeholders in the political and corporate worlds. The team plays a lead role in ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed about key Channel 4 programmes and initiatives and understand Channel 4’s unique remit and model.

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for key message development and delivery to a wide range of external and internal stakeholders through multiple channels – including key corporate publications, digital communications and events. The role is responsible for the oversight, project management and production of corporate communications materials across a range of media, including major publications such as the Channel 4 Annual Report.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility for overseeing the production, drafting, design project management and delivery of a wide suite of corporate publications. These include;

  • Channel 4 Annual Report print and online versions
  • Annual Diversity Report
  • Regular ad hoc reports throughout the year
  • Development of and ongoing content updates to the Channel 4 Corporate website

Developing key messages and devising and delivering materials that promote stakeholder understanding of Channel 4’s unique public service remit and status. Manage the development and delivery of other corporate communications messaging and materials, including speech and report writing and digital comms Prepare speaking notes and speech drafts for senior management Manage key partnerships with relevant organisations, including BAFTA and One World Media

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience of operating in a Corporate Communications capacity
  • Experienced project manager of publications (print and digital)
  • Highly organised with track record of overseeing complex projects and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills – including ability to draft copy for a wide range of formats and audiences
  • Digital literacy – able to oversee digitally led projects and ensure that digital formats are kept up to date
  • Adept at developing and implementing creative solutions
  • Proven agency and budget management experience
  • Strong team player and self-motivated
